The transfer case is a critical part of the Bronco's four-wheel-drive system and is positioned underneath the vehicle where it can be vulnerable to impacts from rocks, ledges and other obstacles.

RCI designed the bottom of the transfer case skid with a smooth, flat surface that helps the Bronco slide across rocks and other trail obstacles.
