The transfer case is a critical and vulnerable drivetrain component when driving off-road. Rocks, ledges and other obstacles can contact the center of the vehicle and potentially cause expensive drivetrain damage.

RCI designed this skid plate to provide substantial protection for the transfer case while also covering the third crossmember and exhaust pipe.
