Protect Your Front Lower Control Arms
The front lower control arms are positioned low in the suspension and can be vulnerable to direct impacts when driving through rocky or uneven terrain.
RCI A-Arm Skid Plates create a heavy-duty barrier beneath the lower control arms, helping protect them from rocks, ledges and other trail obstacles.
The smooth bottom surface is designed to slide across obstacles rather than creating unnecessary snag points underneath the vehicle.
These skid plates are an excellent addition for vehicles used for:
-
Off-roading
-
Rock crawling
-
Overlanding
-
Trail driving
-
Hunting and backcountry travel
-
Camping
-
General underbody protection
Steel or Aluminum
Choose the material that best matches your vehicle and intended use.
3/16" Steel
Steel provides excellent strength and impact resistance for vehicles that regularly encounter demanding terrain.
A good choice for:
-
Rock crawling
-
Technical trails
-
Frequent off-road use
-
Maximum impact protection
1/4" Aluminum
Aluminum provides substantial lower control arm protection while reducing added vehicle weight.
A good choice for:
-
Overlanding
-
Daily-driven vehicles
-
Camping and adventure builds
-
Vehicles where overall weight is a concern
-
Owners looking for excellent corrosion resistance
Smooth, Low-Profile Design
RCI designed the bottom of the A-arm skid plates with a smooth, flat surface to help the suspension slide across rocks and other trail obstacles.
The updated design incorporates a rear flange that provides additional strength while extending protection toward the rear of the lower control arm.
Direct Bolt-On Installation
Installation is quick and straightforward.
The RCI A-Arm Skid Plates attach directly to existing factory mounting points, so no drilling is required.
All necessary installation hardware is included.
Important OEM & TRD Pro Skid Plate Compatibility
These A-arm skid plates are not directly compatible with the OEM Toyota or TRD Pro front skid plate without modification.
If retaining the OEM or TRD Pro front skid plate, cutting/modification of the factory skid plate is required to provide the necessary clearance for the RCI A-arm skids.
If your vehicle already has aftermarket underbody protection, verify compatibility before ordering.
Important KDSS Compatibility
RCI UNIV-AARMS is NOT compatible with KDSS-equipped Toyota 4Runner or Lexus GX models.
RCI offers a separate KDSS A-Arm Skid Plate specifically designed to accommodate the suspension components used on KDSS-equipped vehicles.
If you're unsure whether your 4Runner or GX has KDSS, verify the vehicle's suspension equipment before ordering.
