Product Overview

The Metal Tech 4x4 Offset Rear Lower Links are engineered specifically for increased suspension travel on the Toyota FJ Cruiser and Toyota 4Runner.

When Metal Tech developed their rear long-travel system, they identified a common limitation in the factory Toyota lower link design — under increased articulation, the links can contact the axle housing, restricting full suspension movement.

The solution: an offset notch design that repositions the bushing higher on the link tube. This provides significantly greater clearance between the axle housing and the link, allowing full articulation and vertical travel without binding.

Unlike standard notched links that create uneven sliding surfaces, the Metal Tech offset design allows for a smoother sliding transition when contacting rocks or obstacles — reducing potential damage to the axle mount while improving durability on the trail.
