The Metal Tech 4x4 3” Rear Bump Stop Drop with Arc Swing Correction is required when running Metal Tech custom rear long-travel springs and shocks on the Toyota 4Runner and Toyota FJ Cruiser.

When upgrading to long-travel rear suspension and fitting 35” tires, the factory rear bump stops must be lowered to prevent tire contact with the inner fender well. However, simply lowering the bump stop creates a new issue — the axle’s natural arc swing shifts the contact point approximately ¾”, causing improper alignment at compression.

Metal Tech eliminates this problem with precision-engineered Arc Swing Correction, keeping the factory bump stop properly centered over the axle at full compression.
