Adding a Grille Light to Tundra TRD Pro

Once a week we have a “wrench-night” where a few of us get together and work on our trucks. Whatever needs to be done, we can just about do it all! This night, we installed a Rigid Industries Radiance 20″ light bar behind the grille of a 2017 TRD Pro.

Using a piece of scrap metal as the might bar mount, it was cut to length and made to fit the existing Toyota mount. This provided a nice solid platform to mount the light. The amber backlights were wired into the the marker lights so that it would come on with the headlights. The main light is actuated by an old-school floor switch. This prevented us from having to mount a switch on the dash.

The final product turned out great and puts out a tremendous amount of light.
